Wow, I cannot believe we are in October already. Is it just me or has this year flown by for you guys too? October is always the month that kicks off my favorite time of year, holiday season! Eeek! October throughout the remainder of the year, is always jam-packed fun-filled months for my family. From pumpkin patches, to trick-or-treating, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s, it’s just such a magical time and there’s nothing like seeing this time through the eyes of your children. While I’m sure this year’s holiday season may look quite different, like everything else this year has, I’m still determined to make it a special one for my kids.
One of our absolute favorite holidays’ is Halloween. Mainly because we love to dress up and go trick-or-treating. We take our costumes very serious and start planning months in advance to top the previous year lol. A lot of our neighbors in the neighborhood have made the tough decision to not do trick-or-treating this year so I started looking for alternative options for my kids to still be able to dress up and have a good time.
Chuck E. Cheese is one of our favorite places to visit with the kids on the weekend and our most recent visit I decided to ask if they had anything special going on for kids during this time and to my surprise they have a TON planned. We even got to experience some of the Halloween fun while we were there that they are already offering, starting with the FOOD! OMG, we are a food loving family and we all love the pizza at Chuck E. Cheese. Is it not the best or what? I thought it was the cutest thing that during this time (from 9/21-11/1) they have “Un-boo-lievable” Halloween new menu items. My kids got a huge kick out of it as well. From a pumpkin shaped large pizza that they’ll do for you for no additional charge, to dip and dots “Eye Scream” that have chocolate syrup, gummy worms, and gummy eyeballs in it! Not only do they have a limited time special Halloween menu but there’s so many family-friendly and safe activities taking place all month, even things you can do from the comforts of your home and online if you don’t want to get out.
All October long, you can get a FREE treat bag when your child visits in costume or when you buy an All You Can Play card of 30-minutes or more. The treat bag includes a rechargeable play band, Chuck E. Cheese sticker sheet, Halloween stickers, candies, a spider ring and special offers on Halloween movie rentals at home from Warner Bros.
While we were visiting, one of the things my kids loved was the Mr. Munch’s Monster Mash-Up featuring Chuck E.’s Boo-tastic Dance where every hour on the :30-minute mark, Mr. Munch introduced the all-new, Chuck E.’s Boo-tastic Dance! Then a Chuck E. Cheese cast member led the dance with the kids, while encouraging them to maintain social distancing. It was so fun.
You can also visit in your costumes and take part in the “touchless” trick-or-treating every Friday and Saturday night at the Glow Parties where DJ Munch turns it up with a mix of high-energy music videos to get the party going! Kids can add more candy to their Treat Bags with “touchless” trick or treating at the end of the show, at the gift shop and at Kid Check exit.
And like I stated earlier, if you don’t want to get out there’s even online options available where your kids can still have so much fun. All you have to do is order takeout through their website or delivery through DoorDash, GrubHub and UberEats.
