Camille’s 1st Birthday Party!

Wow…My baby is about to be ONE in two more days you guys. I truly cannot believe how fast this first year flew by. It honestly seems like yesterday I was bringing her little 5lb self home from the hospital. As most of you know, Camille was our sweet surprise. We were NOT planning for her at all. Oops lol…We found out she was on the way when my middle daughter, Channing, was only 13 months old. Needless to say, I had mixed feelings when I saw “pregnant” on the pregnancy test. Now looking back, I absolutely cannot imagine life without my sweet baby girl. It was truly love at first sight. She was the blessing we didn’t know we needed. I hate to use the word perfect, but Camille is as close to a perfect baby that you can get. From day one she has been the sweetest and most easiest going baby ever and we are all so grateful for her.

If you’ve been following me or my blog for a while then you already know I put the “E” in extra, ha! I LOVE party planning and hosting our loved ones at our home. Although, people debate about whether or not “over the top” kid’s birthday parties are necessary, I’m a big believer in celebrating every single special moment. Tomorrow is not promised. At times, we simply take LIFE for granted. There’s a lot of babies that don’t even make it to one, it’s not something I take for granted at all with my children. Although, me and my husband have decided that we are only doing big birthday parties for milestone birthdays, the parties we do have your girl goes all out! But Camille’s next party won’t be until she’s 5. On the in between years we just do something as a family, like take a trip, etc!

I’ve been planning Camille’s first birthday party for the past few months along with my amazing party planner Brianna Rogers from Elegant Chic By Bri Party Planning. I’m HUGE on themed birthday parties. I always start off with figuring out the theme I’d like to do, then I’ll look up inspiration, and go from there. We were originally going to do a “Camille’s ONEderland” theme which would’ve been a cute take on an Alice and Wonderland theme, but for some reason I was never 100% sold on it. Then Bri texted me asking what I thought about the hot air balloon them and I fell in love. I’ve seen it before for baby showers and birthday parties, but most people either do the “up, up, and away” theme or the “ONEderful places she’ll go” theme with the hot air balloons. We decide to do Camille’s ONEderful Ride them paired with the hot air balloons, because what a wonderful ride this past year has been with her. The colors were soft pink, soft blue, white, and gold. My husband thought I had lost my mind when I asked him to move ALL of our living room and dining room furniture so we could completely transform our home to what ended up looking like an event hall when it was all said and done LOL, but he was so pleased with how everything turned out as well.

It was such a BEAUTIFUL party, but the most beautiful thing about it was all our loved ones coming to showering our baby girl with love. That’s what hosting at our home is all about for me, spending quality time with our family and friends while making memories that’ll last a life time. It’s hard to get a bunch of people together these days with our busy schedules but one thing that can get people to come out is a baby’s birthday party! I’m so grateful for our village that always shows up and shows out for every event we have. We love you guys deeply!

How beautiful was the cake table and sweet setup? This was in our formal dining room. Elegant Chic by Bri did all the decor setup. You guys she is simply amazing. She is extra like me so we were the dream team lol. She made the entire process stress free from beginning to end. We have become family now and that’s what I love when working with vendors. I’ve become like family with everyone that I use when hosting events and Bri was no different. If you have a special moment coming up definitely contact her, she’s your girl! The white tables and white pillars are from Party Vibes Venue & Decor Rentals.

Our super cute family shirts are by Creations by Lorna Prints and More. We’ve been using her for years for all of our custom t-shirt needs and she never disappoints. She can ship too if you aren’t local!

Designing the cakes and sweets for the events I host is always one of my favorite parts of event planning. I feel like the cakes are always the statement pieces to my parties. How GORGEOUS was this 4 tier cake from The Baking Cup? I’ve been working with Estrella for years as well and she is truly an artist. Her works is ART! The cakes and treats are always so pretty that I hate to even cut them or eat them. I just want them to sit there and be pretty lol. But even better, they taste SO good. My guest are always asking for the bakers information at my events. Give her a try for your next special event. She did the custom cookies, cake pops, and cupcakes as well!

The beautiful draping that completely transformed our living room was done by A Touch of Elegance. They were amazing! They took our vision to the next level. If you want to transform any event space whether your home or venue, definitely considered having A Touch of Elegance as one of your vendors because it gave the party the WOW factor!

How gorgeous were the beautiful centerpiece creating by Elegant Chic by Bri? The balloon work on top of them were done by Jenn Arches, who I’ll go more in detail about later!

I simply cannot deal with this cuteness! This hot air balloon basket was created by Jenn Arches who did ALL the balloon work at the party. If you’ve been following along with me for a while now, you know I always have some type of balloon decor at every event and it’s always done by Jenn form Jenn Arches. She is a BEAST at what she does. She kills it every time. Check her out for all of your balloon needs!

Of course Camille had to have her own thrown chair. I mean she’s the birthday girl right? ha! The kids table, chairs, and throne chair were all from Party Vibes Venue & Decor.
