25 Random Facts About Me!

Hey Guys! Recently, I’ve gained a lot of new faces around my social media and blog. As most of you know, I’m HUGE on interacting with my followers, turned friends 😊. If you’ve ever messaged me, emailed me, or even simply commented on a picture, 9 times out of 10 I’ve responded. If I haven’t, it definitely wasn’t personal, just truly didn’t have the chance. I appreciate anyone who takes time out of their day to say something nice to me or even think enough of me to ask my opinion on something. It means a lot. THANK YOU! The internet is a breeding ground for trolls being mean behind a screen, so I’m truly grateful to have so many nice, encouraging, and positive followers! I get asked random question about myself all the time. So I figured it would be fun to share a few completely random facts about me in hopes that you guys feel like you know me a little better! Let’s jump right in…

1. I’m 30 and will turn 31 this upcoming March! I love that my birthday is in the Spring but during school it always fell during Spring Break week which sucked because I didn’t’ get any day of recognition at school lol.
2. I consider myself “an old soul.” I can’t tell you any of these new artist or songs that are on the radio these days. I’m not big on the night life. An ideal night to me is good food, drinks, and thought-provoking conversation.
3. I’m from Beaumont, Texas which is a small city right outside of Houston, Texas where I currently live. I get told a lot I have a “country” accent and southern drawl, so I guess I have my hometown to thank for that lol.
4. Growing up I always only had one sibling, my sister. Until recently, now I have a 2-year-old brother, ha! We are almost 28 years a part.
5. I was a dancer growing up. I took studio dance for over a decade (tap, ballet, pointe, jazz, and lyrical) and I was on my high school drill team. So you can imagine how much of a dance mom I am with having 3 daughters. They’ll all start off in dance, but I’ll put them in other things they show interest in as well.
6. My favorite color is pink!
7. I have an infatuation with wildlife. When I was younger I would watch Animal Planet and dog shows all day. Now I can still watch National Geographic all day, every day. Going on a real safari and whale watching are on my bucket list. However, I HATE bugs. Like, I have a real-life phobia of bugs, especially spiders! It’s ironic I love animals, but we don’t have a family pet yet. I have my husband to thank for that, he’s currently protesting any pets. (insert eye roll) I’m not giving up though lol
8. My personality type is hard to describe. I can be an extrovert and introvert at times as well. Some days I can be a bit of a loner. I really enjoy “me time.” I don’t mind going out to eat by myself at all. But other days I can be a social butterfly. Really just depends on the setting and my mood that day lol. However, typically I’m really laid back and extremely nonconfrontational, to a fault at times. It’s takes A LOT to “ruffle my feathers.” I’m a super forgiving person. It’s almost impossible for me to hold grudges. Even when I try, I can’t stay mad at people for long. It’s a gift and a curse lol.
9. I am NOT a type A mom. I think that’s surprising to a lot of people. They assume from my pictures and me being a mommy blogger that I am. I have a really laid-back parenting style. More so regarding things that some parents stress out about, like potty training, sleep training, getting rid of the paci, things of that nature.
10. I went to Stephen F. Austin State University in east Texas and majored in Marketing (after changing my major numerous times).
11. I have a day job lol. A lot of people assume I blog full-time. I’ve been in healthcare sales for the past 7 years. I currently work for a pediatric therapy company that provides behavior therapy for children with autism. No day looks the same for me. I work “out in the field.” Meaning I’m in my car every day driving all over Houston meeting with doctors. I love it because I’m not stuck behind a desk every day, but I do get burnt out from all the driving every now and then.
12. Although I’m naturally thin, I LOVE food! Good food is my love language lol. My favorite type of food is anything Cajun and seafood. I can eat crawfish EVERY.SINGLE.DAY during crawfish season. I have some really good cooks on my mom and dad’s side so I’m a pretty tough critic when it comes to authentic, home cooked, Cajun food. Not going to lie, I can be a bit grumpy when I’m hungry, just ask my husband…he’s learned that the hard way haha!
13. I have a HUGE sweet tooth. Whether it’s cookies, cake, pies, ice cream, chile I like it ALL! That’s always the first thing I’ll fast from because it’s SO hard for me to go without sweets. I typically have something sweet after every meal. I know, it’s horrible!
14. New York is my absolute favorite state to visit in the states.  I jokingly tell my husband we should move there because I already know he’s not here for it haha!
15. I “accidentally” got into blogging. I didn’t wake up one day saying “I want to be a blogger.” I started genuinely sharing my story back when most of my followers were people I knew personally. I didn’t have a “platform” at all. I had no idea it would resonate with women all over the world. It felt like a lot of you guys came out of nowhere haha, but I’m grateful you’re here. I’m now so passionate about sharing my journey so transparently in a time where everybody tries to portray these perfect social media lives.
16. Me and my husband are going on 4 years of marriage this upcoming January. So excited for our “half a decade” mark in 2021. We plan on taking an EPIC trip because we didn’t have an official honeymoon.
17. I did all “C” names for my daughter’s because my name starts with a “C.” Duh! Lol. I did all “B” middle names for them because Carri’s started with a B, so I just stuck with it. We said all of our boys would have Bryan’s initials which are BAW. Bryan and Deuce have the same name, by the way. His name isn’t actually Deuce like a lot of people think lol! We call him Deuce because he’s the second!
18. I LOVE shows like Dateline and 48 hours. I watch Dateline literally every single Friday and Saturday night if I’m home. The thing that I love most about it is 1. How some investigators don’t give up, even if it takes decades to solve the murder case. You can tell when it’s truly their calling! 2. How most cases are solved in the most random ways. It truly goes to show that “what goes on in the dark, comes to light.” I live for justice being served for the cases. The stories where the cases are unsolved always piss me smooth off lol!
19. I grew up in the church, so I’ve always known God. But it wasn’t until college that I truly developed my own personal relationship with Him. I got rebaptized at the church I attended while away at school.
20. A pet peeve of mine is rude people and horrible customer service. I realize a lot of people have had some really hard lives, and that shapes their demeanor and the way they interact with others. But man, a lot of people are just mean for no reason.
21. I absolutely HATE stopping to get gas lol. I swear I feel like my gas light stays on. I need to do better in this department though. My husband is one of those people that fill up his tanks every time it gets to half a tank of gas. I’m definitely not that person.
22. I’ve always loved taking pictures, even before IG was popping ha! And I’m not talking cell phone pics. I’ve been doing “just because” professional photo shoots for a longggg time! Like since back when I was in college over 8 years ago.
23. It’s rare you’ll catch me and my girls not matching. I know the day will come where they no longer want to match me or their sisters and that’s going to suck. Maybe I can get them to still at least do the same color schemes lol!
24. I used to be a HUGE reality TV junkie. I’m embarrassed to admit I used to watch every single franchise of the Real Housewives shows on Bravo, along with a lot of other shows that I kept up with religiously. Now watching a few minutes of all that drama gives me a headache lol.
25. I LOVE sports! Mainly football and basketball but I can watch pretty much any sport! I follow along with the entire seasons and actually know what’s going on haha! I’m a Dallas Cowboys fan and a Lebron James fan! (notice I don’t have a basketball team, where he goes, I go lol)

And that’s where I’ll end it for now! These are all completely random. I wanted the facts to be about me and not so much “my story,” because I share that often. I just wanted you all to feel like you know me a little better after this blog. I talk to some of you so much through DMs or in my comments that I feel like we already know each other haha.
