Wow…the big 3-0! I’m THIRTY you guys! 3 whole decades old! God is good! While most women are terrified at the thought of growing older, I’m one who has actually been looking forward to my 30’s. I’ve always been an old soul and I believe as time goes on, you only grow wiser. I don’t have everything figured out, but I sure as heck know a lot more now, then I did in my 20’s. I’m more content & confident in who I am then I’ve ever been. So as cliché as this list is, I wanted to share 30 things that I’ve learned by 30. Let’s jump right in:
- Friends truly do come & go (and that’s OKAY) but family is forever!
- Everything ALWAYS ends up working itself out. ALWAYS!
- What’s meant for you will NEVER miss you!
- Failure/mistakes are a part of life. If you allow them, they’ll only make you a better person.
- Throw all your timelines out the window. Normally life never goes the way we’ve planned it to.
- Thinking about “what ifs” is a waste of time.
- Life TRULY is short. Don’t sweat the small things. Forgive quickly!
- Don’t be afraid to say “no” and make no apologies for it!
- Put your phone down & be present
- Learn to cook
- There’s a fine line between being nice & being walked over. Learn to speak UP!
- Time is truly one of the most valuable things in life that you can never get back.
- Be grateful through the mountain tops and the valleys.
- Perspective is everything. Always choose to look at the glass half full.
- One day you’ll look up and realize you’ve turned into your mom lol
- Never say never
- Someone else’s success doesn’t diminish yours
- Make travel a priority
- Surround yourself with positive people. Nobody has time for negative Nancy’s
- Take a TON of pictures. They are memories
- Money can’t buy you a peace of mind.
- You can’t change anyone but yourself
- Sometimes a smile can change everything. You never know what people are going through
- Your body will change with age and babies. Gracefully accept it
- Never forget where you came from
- Give back when you can
- Be open to trying new things
- Don’t be hard on yourself
- Appearance isn’t everything but it’s something. Always get up, dress up, & show up!
- ……..
At 30, I still have so much learning and growing to do and a lot more mistakes to make. But that’s the beauty in life. I’m sure I’ll be saying the same thing at 50, it’s never ending. We never stop learning. We should always try and be a better version of ourselves with each day the Lord blesses us with. You are probably wondering why I left #30 off…well like always, I love learning from you guys as well. Tell me one thing you would tell the younger you…no matter what age you are. Thanks for always rocking with me you guys. I read every comment you guys leave on here. It means the world to me. Here’s to 30 more years!
As Always…Love you All,
Courtney N. Williams

I would tell my younger self that God is present. Keep that child like Faith because he is working all things together for your good. Trust your values and morals, and Wait!!! Because you don’t even realize the gem the worth you encompass!!

Happy 30th sis I’m only 21 and im looking forward to learning most of the things you mentioned. Two of the things I have learnt are to have self value, respect and love anotthing is to put God first in everything (just committing all things to him before getting involved with them). For me this has worked so much the moment I get God involved all things flows like a river👏 Stay blessed sis xx

Happy Belated Birthday sis! I hope that you have enjoyed it and still enjoying it with your beautiful family.
And, one thing that I would tell my younger self as I leave my 20’s as well, is that trust the visions and dreams that God shows you no matter how long it takes to come to pass. God knows the set time for the visions and dreams he shows us in bringing them to pass.
Amen! Love that. And thanks for reading girl

Happy 30!! I’m almost 63 so I will leave two comments for my younger self.
1). Is’s okay to give but remember yourself ( I’ve given so much. I should have saved)
2) Take care of your body, eat right and exercise!!

I would tell my younger self before you become be a wife and/or mother, live life as an individual first. Those titles come with huge responsibilities, that most aren’t ready for in their twenties. No need to rush, your time will come.
There’s definitely no need to rush. Everyone has to move at their own pace! Thanks for reading girl!
